Newton Ferrers is a picturesque village on the banks of the River Yealm located within an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Noted in the Doomsday Book, Newton Ferrers lies across the estuary from Noss Mayo, where at low tide a ‘voss’ or tidal footpath, connects the two locations.
Today, the village has a range of village shops, a Post Office, primary school, church and the well-known Dolphin Inn.
Plymouth, with its larger range of shops and amenities, regenerated old port and waterfront, is under ten miles away.
Exeter, the principal city of Ceremonial Devon, is approximately 40 miles away.
Both cities offer good shopping facilities, hospitals and universities, as well as excellent transport links, with services to national and international destinations.
